Here are the Board of Directors for RCORE
Lori Benitez (President) – I worked for the Police Department for 28 years. 21 years as a paid employee retiring in Dec 2010 and 7 years as a volunteer, retiring for the second time Aug 2018. I worked my entire career in the jail; first as a correctional officer and I retired as the correctional supervisor. I was president of the RPA (Roseville Police Association) for 5 years. I volunteered for the Human Resources Department for 4 years. I am on the board of the Gathering Inn and RPEA (Retired Public Employees Association). I enjoy golfing , traveling and spending time with friends and family.
Pam Durocher (Vice President) – I began my career with the City of Roseville in 1982, hired into the newly formed Risk Management Division within Human Resources. Risk Management was the predominant theme of my years with the City. I served a number of years in the City Attorney’s Office before returning to Human Resources and Risk Management. I retired in May of 2009, joined RCORE, and have served on the RCORE Executive Board. My passions include my grandkids, the outdoors, and advocating for what is right.
Brita Bayless (Secretary) – Hired as a Deputy City Attorney in 2002 and retired 13 years later as City Attorney, only retirement is better than my job working for the City of Roseville.
Kathy Kitchell (Treasurer) – Employee from 1991 to 2009 (7 years in Finance – General Accounting and 12 years in Environmental Utilities)
Paula Finley (Member-at-Large) – Worked for the City from March 1987 until June 12, 2009. Worked was in the Parks and Recreation Department, first as a Recreation Supervisor – 4 years, then Administrative Analyst – 3 years, Park Development manager -10 years and rounding out my career as a Park and Recreation Manager for the remaining 5 years, retiring in 2009.
Interests include travel – near and far, spending time with family and friends, 49er football, all outdoor activities, including a passion for gardening that resulted in becoming a Master Gardener with Placer County in 2011.
Ed Kriz (Member-at-Large) – Employee from 1990 to 2015 in Environmental Utilities (5 years Associate Engineer, 17 years Water Utility Manager, 3 years Director)
Bob Schmitt (Member-at-Large) – Starting in February 1999, I worked over 22 years in the Roseville City Attorney’s Office. I was initially hired as an Associate Attorney and worked my way up. Ultimately, I served as City Attorney for six and a half years and retired in May 2021. Best job and employer I ever had.
Al Johnson (Board Member Emeritus) – Al Johnson retired from his position as City Manager with the City of Roseville in 2003. Since his retirement from Public Service Mr. Johnson has owned and operated Al Johnson Consulting LLC a Consulting firm that advises private development firms and public agencies regarding land use development issues. Al was a former board member who helped to establish RCORE and was invited to stay on board as a nonvoting member in an advisory capacity, acknowledging for all that he has done for RCORE, the City of Roseville, and its retirees.
